If you felt bored playing poker over and over again, maybe it’s time to learn something new with those poker cards. And it is not impossible these days, considering you can learn it from online forums or tutorials. If you and your friends are poker enthusiasts, learning to perform magic card tricks is a good idea. Card tricks are more popular than any other item, and many more routines, tricks, and feats are developed for them. With their identical backs and different fronts, playing cards seem to be made for tricks. Regardless of the type of trick you choose, it is essential to practice your skills and focus on capturing your audience and winning them over. Here are some easiest magic card tricks.
Nine Card Mind Reading
In three rows, nine cards are laid out face-up on the table. The audience decides which card to put face up on the table but does not touch or move it. The assistant returns to the room. Tell the audience that you are going to read their minds. As your assistant points to each card with a pencil, you both seem to be very focused. The assistant points to the cards with the pencil, and then you say which card was chosen. It would help if you had a deck of cards and an assistant to practice this trick.
Your assistant points to the first card he sees and tells you which card was chosen. If the selected card is in the middle of the deck, your assistant points to that card. If the selected card is in the middle row, your assistant points to the top center of that card. Your assistant may point to the upper right corner of the card you selected in the layout’s upper left corner. Your assistant can randomly point to all the cards.
Enveloped Card Prediction
An opaque, sealed envelope is shown to the audience. Explain that it contains a playing card. This will be your prediction. The envelope is handed to a person in the audience. Tell them to put it in their pocket. Next, give someone a deck of cards and ask them to shuffle them. Finally, pass the cards to the back. One card is chosen at random. A card is taken from the deck and placed in an envelope. The recipient opens the envelope and sees that the card they drew matches the one you put in the envelope.
It would help if you had an envelope, one or more piles of cards, and an extra card from another pile. As the preparation, seal the extra card in the envelope. Then, for the execution, take the matching card from the pile and put it in your pocket. Now ask someone to take the envelope. The pile should be shuffled. Pass it behind your back. Once you have turned toward the audience, you can take the duplicate card from your pocket and place it in front of you as if it were a card you took from the deck. It will be evident that your prediction matches the card when the envelope is opened.
The Dice and Cards
Write a prediction on a piece of paper. Then tell the spectator to put it in his pocket. Then give them a pair of dice. Tell the volunteer to roll the dice and add up the numbers. Then provide them with a pack of cards. Tell them to count the cards that match the number they drew. The prediction shows the name of each card they drew. You will need a pair of dice, a deck of cards, playing cards, a pencil, and paper for this trick. Before you start the trick, count from the top to 14.
Tell the audience that you are going to predict a piece of paper. The name of the card must be in the 14th position of the deck. Give the spectator the pair and ask them to roll the dice. Add the numbers on the top and bottom – the top and bottom of two dice add up to 14! This way, you can “force” a card to a certain number. This is a great way to force a card to a certain number for many purposes.
